Now, while I am no longer a believer in the spirit of any kind;

I still have knowledge of the old ways and of such.

Thinking of Angels, and their work, it came upon me that while Free Will is human, generally it is regarded that for Angels, and Demons which are but fallen Angels - a third of them to be specific - have none.

But Satan as in Job can talk and plan and conceive, there are grades to Angels, from the lowly manlike beings to the alien Seraphim and Cherubim and Ophanim to whatever the named angels are - Michael and Gabriel may just be manlike beings; while Satan took Draconian form in Revelations. All work towards a purpose - to give glory to god; to

It then occurred to me : an angel can say yes; and talk thereof; but it still has a purpose, a purpose it cannot divide itself from. Aligned to a code... Work towards the fulfillment of that order.

While a Human can say "No."

And much more than that, a Human can say "Maybe."

Even Satan works along a order - in Job, to execute a wager he conceived against God; in Revelations he lead war against god and became the antagonist, (Guessing from the bible - Job may had been anywhere from 3,000BC - 100 BC or so; Demons and Satan take an antagonistic form in the time of Jesus, had he existed and canonically; this would had been around 30 AD; so...) and in the end only exists to validate the glory of god to the people in the way of ultimately fruitless opposition.

And Humans will still have free will; even on New Earth - for the city of God will be on it, extending into space; but their will still be "Kings" and "Nations", who give tribute to God, meanwhile all Angels, it seems, rigidly either are punished to showcase the glory of god (Hades, Death, Satan, the Demons and Devils?) and others, presumably as they did in the beginning of Revelation still give glory, and work for God in New Jerusalem.

I can't really fathom it - being somewhat independent, to conceive, but never really being able to say no or to maybe; following along the plan God set for his own Glory. But such is what is, apparently.

Based on the Biblical view, I guess we humans gained free will when we consumed the Apple of Knowledge, gaining the knowledge of what is right and wrong.

Assuming the angels (and in extension, the demons) didn't consume the Apple of Knowledge, they can only exist as an extension of God's Will.
